New Zealand tennis players Finn Reynolds and James Watt have won the biggest title of their professional careers with victory at the Jinan Challenger in China.


Third seeds Reynolds and Watt beat top seeded pair Rithvik Choudary Bollipalli and Arjun Kadhe from India in one hour 35 minutes 7-5 7-6(1) for the title looking the stronger of the two pairs throughout the match.


LATEST HEADLINES:


The title is a culmination of three weeks of finals which had featured a win at the Challenger in Tiburon, United States last week and the final in Las Vegas the previous week.


It means that they have won 11 of their last 12 matches together on the Challenger Tour.


However the Jinan event is rated as an ATP 125 tournament and has significant prizemoeny and points.


It is their fifth Challenger title of the year in their eighth final and edges them closer to a direct entry to the Australian Open.

The points will take Reynolds to 93 n the ATP doubles while Watt will now be 97, both career highs.and both entering the top 100 for the first time.
