White Ferns World Cup win over Bangladesh

The White Ferns have won their first match at the Women' s Cricket World Cup in India.
They beat Bangladesh by 100 runs in an emphatic victory with 10 overs to spare despite looking to close out the win earlier but some stout defence from Rabeya Khan slowed the win.
LATEST HEADLINES:
New Zealand made 227 for 9 with 69 from Brooke Halliday and 63 from captain Sophie Devine, her third consecutive half century of the tournament. She is currently the leading run scoring at the World Cup.
Suzie got a start at the top of the innings but fell for 29 while Georgia Plimmer and Amelia Kerr both went cheaply.
Maddy Green added 25 in the middle of the order with 12 from wicketkeeper Izzy Gaze and a late 12 from Lea Tahuhu from just four balls - one four and one six included.
Bangladesh were dismissed for 127 in the 40th over. Jess Kerr took 3-21 from eight overs and Tahuhu 3 -22 from six overs.
Other wicket takers were Rosemary Mair with two while Eden Carson and Amelia Kerr in her 100th game took one each.
The White Ferns next game is against Sri Lanka on Tuesday night in Colombo.
