A late run of birdies has helped golfer Daniel Hillier move up the leaderboard after his second round at the DP World Tour's Spanish Open in Madrid
The Wellington golfer birdied five of the last six holes to post a five-under par 66.
LATEST HEADLINES:
Hillier went through the first eight holes with no blemishes before a birdie on the ninth.
On the back nine he birdied the 13th, 14th and 15th before a bogey on 16th and then two birdies to finish the round
It takes him to six-under for the tournament - just three shots off the lead in a tie for 11th.
Englishman Marco Peng leads at nine-under after a four-under second round.
Unfortunately the news isn't so good for Canterbury's Kazuma Kobori who easily missed the cut after a five-over par round saw him finish seven-over overall.
