The Warriors gave it all but were no match for the four-time reigning NRL premier Panthers outgunned 24-8 to end their season.

.

The opening half was intense with neigther side able to take hold of the game as Tannah Boyd opened the scoring with a penalty as a number of scuffles broke out.

The momentum swung in favour of the visitors after a break from Brian To'o for Nathan Cleary to send to ball to Isaiah Papali'i to power his way over for the first try.

.

The Panthers extended their lead shortly after the break as Brad Schneider snuck his way over the chalk from dummy half.

In the 53rd minute Leka Halasima busted his way through two tackles and wrestling the ball to the ground as the Warriors closed the gap to four points, but that was all the joy they could muster.

The Panthers put the game beyond doubt from a Cleary kick bouncing favourably for To'o who raced upfield before passing to Jesse McLean to cap off a stunning try.

To'o sealed the deal in the 70th minute as he swooped on a wayward Warriors pass and ran 50 metres to end all Warrior's hope.

Panthers 24 (Isaiah Papali’i, Brad Schneider, Casey McLean, Brian To’o tries, Nathan Cleary 2 con, Dylan Edwards 2 con) Warriors 8 (Leka Halasima try; Tanah Boyd con, pen). HT: 6-2
