More changes in premiership netball squads

The Stars have added to their shooting circle with the signing of new Silver Ferns shooter Martina Salmon for the 2026 ANZ Premiership season.
Salmon joins the Stars after rocketing to prominence with a breakout year at the Pulse in 2024 and then helping the Tactix to a maiden ANZ Premiership title in 2025, which earned her a maiden call up to the Silver Ferns squad.

Capable of sinking shots from all over the shooting circle and will be a strong option for Stars coach Temepara Bailey at two-point super shot time and joins fellow new recruit Amelia Walmsley as a key player in the circle.
Salmon was selected for the Fast5 Ferns in 2024 – where she set the tournament alight with some sparkling play.
The 21-year-old was born in Auckland, before moving to Australia at a young age and returning to New Zealand to chase her netball dream.
“Most of my family grew up in Onehunga and I’ve got a lot of family around that area and South Auckland so I’m basically coming home!” she said. .
“I can’t wait to get out amongst the community. I’m Samoan and Tongan myself and I know there’s a lot more Pasifika people in Auckland, so being able to be around my culture and serve the community is really exciting.”
Four players are leaving the Stars; Monica Falkner has retired and Charlie Bell is not returning while Aussie-Kiwi Remi Kamo is also stepping away from the
Maia Wilson is moving across Auckland to the Mystics and will likely take the place of Aussie Donnell Wallam.
At the Magic, wing defence/centre Reeghan De Bono has confirmed she's leaving the side but the majority of other players are returning along with Ariana Cable-Dixon have signed for 2026.
