Routliffe, Dabrowski tough draw at US Open

New Zealand's Erin Routliffe and Canadian Gaby Dabrowski have been given a difficult draw at the 2025 US Open doubles.
The third seeds will face the Czech pairing of Marketa Vondrousova and Miriam Skoch who are both ranked outside the top 50.

However Vondrousova has been a Grand Slam singles winner and runnup-up plus ranked as high as 11 in the world in doubles and has a dangerous all-court game.

The Kiwi-Canadian are drawn in the same quarter as the eighth seeds Hanyu Guo (China) and Alexandra Panova (Russia) and if everything worked out would meet the second seeded Italian team of Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini in the semifinals.
Another dangerous pair in the quarter include Caroline Dolehid and Sofia Kenin as well as Barbora Krejcikova and Jelena Ostapenko
Routliffe and Dabrowski won the trouphy at Cincinnati in the build up to the Open.
They were winners of the US Open title in 2023.and reached the quarters in 2024.
