Lawson in points again, eighth in Hungary

Liam Lawson used a one-stop strategy at the Hungarian Grand Prix to take eighth place and hold off four time world champion Max Verstappen.
The 23-year-old New Zealand driver started ninth on the grid with Verstappen one spot ahead. However Lawson overtook him on the opening lap before swapping places again on lap two.

Lawson then went ahead when the Dutchman pitted a second time and was able to stay in front for the last quarter of the race.
The four points for eighth has taken his overall total to 20 ands 15th in the Driver's Championship standings only a couple Racing Bulls teammate Isack Hadjar who finished 11th.
Lawson has picked up points in three of the last four races and outscored Hadjar 20-15 over the last seven races.
Meanwhile Lando Norris won the race ahead of Oscar Piastri. George Russell was third passing Charles Leclerc in the closing stages.
Piastri still heads the Drivers standins with 284, but Norris is second on 275 and Verstappen almost 100 points further back. .
