Defending champion Lydia Ko has picked up two shots in her third round at the Women's Open at Portcawl, Wales.


The world No 3 carded a 70 to sit tied 36th at even par overall after a round which was very up and down.


LATEST HEADLINES:


Ko's round was looking impressive until the 17th hole where she double bogeyed the par four with a six shot. However she did birdie the 18th.


Earlier Ko birdied the fourth, seventh and eighth holes. Before a bogey on the 10th followed by a birdie on the next hole.


Twenty-eight-year-old Ko is nine shots behind the current leader Miyu Yamnashita of Japan who is just a shot ahead of Korea's Lim Kim.
