Hillier set to make a move at Irish Open

New Zealand's Daniel Hiller is tied third alonside Rory McIlroy after two rounds at the Irish Open at Kildare.


Hillier had a regularion first round 71, but followed up with a six-under second round which featured a three on the par five 18th.


LATEST HEADLINES:


He had bogeys at the third and 15th, but birdies scattered throughout the round at the fourth and five as well as 10th, 12th and 13th holes.


Hillier, 27, is at seven-under for the tournament five shots behind the leader Joakim Lagagren of Sweden,


Fellolw Kiwi Kazuma Kobori is tied 61st after a 75 in round one and 69 in the second and will make the cut.


Meanwhile Taranaki's Sam Jones is tied sixth after two rounds on the European secondary HotelPlanner Tour at Konopiska in Poland.


Jones carded a 68 in the first round followd by a 65 to be seven under, two shots behind the leader Romain Wattel of France.
