NZ A side drop 50-over series to South Africa A

The New Zealand A cricket side has lost the 50-over series against South Africa A in Benoni 2-1 after dropping the first two games, but winning the third.
The first game was lost by three wickets after New Zealand A made 229 and the home side scored 231-7.
LATEST HEADLINES:
The second outing saw the home side dominate easily chasing down the score of 248 all out in the final over by the New Zealand side and winning by seven wickets.
Simon Keene made 77 runs from 58 balls down the order while Black Caps Zak Foulkes contributed 52 and Mitch Hay 33 as the top order failed.
In the third game New Zealand A won by 18 runs via the DLS method.
South Africa A batted first scored a mamoth 348-5 in their 50 overs. Ben Lister and Adithya Ashok took two wickets each, but generally bowers were carted around the park.
In reply New Zealand made 310-4 in 45 overs with Dale Phillips 147 from 109 balls including five sixes and 18 balls.
Joe Carter scored 47, Muhammad Abbas 66 and Curis Heaphy 30 nout out.
The first of the two unofficial tests starts this weekend.
