Blaze win women's, Volts men's Super Smash clash

The Volts won the men's Super Smash clash by six wickets after scoring 152-4 in response to the Wellington Firebirds 150-7.
Tom Blundell was in the runs again with 25 from 16 while Rachin Ravindra made 26 from 19 for the Firebirds but there wasn't the support aside from the traditional late hitting from Logan van Bek with 25 nout out.

Jake Gibson took 2-23 form his four overs for the Volts.
At bat the Volts had Jack Boyle top-score with 71 from 47 balls including six fours and a couple of sixes. Liew Johnson was not out 36.
Ravindra had figures of 2-26 from his alloted four overs.
The Sparks came close with 143-7 but eventually lost to the Blaze by six wickets.
Led by Australian Maitlan Brown’s quick-fire 44 not out from 25, the Blaze won with four balls to spare on the back of the 69-run stand Brown and Jess Kerr who made 30 for the fourth wicket.
