Two-from-two for Auckland over the Volts and Sparks at Eden Park Outer Oval with one match an easy win and the other much closer.


The Aces were put into bat and smashed 200-6 in their innings with Dale Phillips making his highest T20 score 77 from 36 balls including 11 fours and three sixes.


LATEST HEADLINES:


Bevon Jacobs continued his form with 33 runs - four fours and three sixes as Ben Lockrose took 3-49 while Matt Bacon nabbed two wickets.


In reply the Volts were all out for 112 in the 16th over.


Jack Boyle scored 44 and Max Chu 27 as Harjot Johal took 4-21 and Rohit Gulati 2-29 for the win which keeps the Aces undefeated (although two games were abandoned).


Meanwhile there was another tighjt finish in the women's Super Smash with Auckland Hearts Brooke Halliday closing out the game on the last ball of the match for a 1-run win against the Sparks in Auckland this evening.


Fellow White Fern Molly Penfold took 3-15, her best Super Smash figures as the Hearts moved from second-to-last into the top three, after back-to-back wins.


The Hearts, Sparks & Hinds are all now on 10 points, behind leaders the Blaze
