White Ferns lose to India, out of World Cup semis

The White Ferns soggy campaign to reach the semifinals of the ICC Women's World Cup in India has come to an end after another rain affected game.
The best New Zealand can finish now is fifth after their 53-run loss to India via the DLS method in Mumai.
LATEST HEADLINES:
The home side batted first and blitzed the New Zealand bowlers scoring 340-3 in their 50 overs as openers Pratika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana both scored centuries while Jemimah Rodrigues made 76 not out.
Rosemary Mair, Amelia Kerr and Suzie Bates all took one wicket, however all seven bowlers were all carted around the park.
At bat the White Ferns made 271-8 from their 44 overs with late batting charge from keeper Izzy Gaze with 65 not out from 51 balls including 10 fours.
The other main scorer for the Ferns was Brooke Halliday with 81 from 84 - nine fours and one six.
Amelia Kerr made 45, Georgia Plimmer 30 while Maddy Green and Jess Kerr scored 18 each.
Bates fell for one and captain Sophie Devine was out for six.
New Zealand had two games washed out with no result plus the game with India which also suffered weather issues.
The White Ferns face England in their final game of the tournament on Sunday night.
