For just the fourth time in their history the Warriors are 2-0 to start the season as Tanah Boyd's kicking game, Leka Halasima's power and Jackson Ford's work ethic lead them to a sensational win over last year's minor premiers at Mt Smart.


The Warriors have scored an impressive 40-6 win over last season's minor premiers Canberra in Auckland.

It was seven tries to one for the Warriors including a couple to both Dallin Watene Zelezniack and 20-year-old Leka Halasima.


Six of the tries came in the second spell after scores were locked at 6-6 at the break.


Boyd kicked four conversions and a penalty as well as crossing for a try while Roger Tuivasa-Sheck kicked a conversion in his 150th game for the club.


The Warriors lost Kurt Capewell to a leg injury in the warm up and then Chanel Harris-Tavita to an HIA inside the 10th minute which will see him out for next week against Newcastle.


Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad also undergoing HIA late in the game as the Warriors mixed and matched their backline.
