Shepp takes ITF tennis titles in Tunisia

Success for Waikato tennis player Anton Shepp, winning the singles and doubles titles at the Monastir M15 ITF World Tennis Tour Futures at Tunisia.
Shepp won the the final over Kazakh qualifier Amir Omarkhanov 6-3, 7-6 (7) for his second career title after Hamilton last year.

Shepp's ranking has now improved to 883 in singles and 575 in doubles.
It was the third consecutive doubles title at Monastir, all with countryman Isaac Becroft in three weeks.
Other New Zealanders around the world also claimed titles with Reece Falck taking out the doubles at the M15 Montreal Futures with Billy Suarez from the United States.
Monique Barry also won the doubles title at US$35 tournament in Timaru teaming up with Australian Alexandra Osborne.
At the men's tournament in Timaru juniors Cody Atkinson from Kapiti Coast and Kiwi-born, now German resident Jamie Mackenzie reached the doubles final together.
At the Miami WTA 1000 event Lulu Sun won her first round match in qualifying over Uzbek Maria Timofeeva 6-4 7-5(5). She face Donna Vekic in the second round.
Meanwhile Finn Reynolds and James Watt are at the Murcia Challenger in Spain where they are the top seeds.
