Reynolds, Watt make US Open doubles draw

The New Zealand tennis pair of Finn Reynolds and James Watt have made the draw at the at the US Open tennis championship for the first time.
It's the duo's second career Grand Slam after the French Open earlier this year where they lost in the first round.

In New York they are up against the seventh seeds, Argetine Guido Andreozzi who is ranked 15th and Manuel Guinard of France who is ranked 14th
Reynolds has a current ATP doiubles ranking of 79 while Watt is one place above at 80. Initially their combined ranking did not have them entered in the draw, however the onsite sign in saw them make the cut.
Recently the pair made their first ATP final reaching the title match at Los Cabos in Mexico.
The other New Zealander in the draw is Michael Venus who has teamed up with Indian Yuki Bhambri again after reaching the semifinals last year.
They face the young American team of Ryan Seggerman ranked 66th and Patrik Trhac who is 68th. The same pair who beat Reynolds and Watt for the Los Cabos title.
Venus who has been as high as No 6 in the world but is coming back from injury is currently 55 while Bhambri is 32nd
If they win their opening clash there is a potential second round clash with 15th seeds Nikola Mektic and Austin Krajicek in the second round
