Assistant coach and Chief No 54 Roger Randle has confirmed he will move to the Hurricanes ahead of the 2027 season bringing his time with the Chiefs coaching group to a close.


Randle joined the club in 2018 as a technical advisor before being brought into the coaching team full time in 2019.

He has made a significant contribution to the club through the years, helping the team to make five grand finals, bringing considerable experience, commitment and care to the Chiefs environment.


Chiefs Rugby Club CEO Simon Graafhuis acknowledged Randle's contribution to the club.


"Roger has been an outstanding servant of the Chiefs Rugby Club, both as a coach and as a former player. Over the past seven seasons he has made a significant contribution to our success and has had a positive impact on countless players, staff and fans. Roger leaves with our gratitude and best wishes, and he will always be welcomed back to Chiefs HQ and region"


The Chiefs coaching group will not have additional changes, further solidifying the strength built under Head Coach Jono Gibbes. The team includes:: Assistants – Marty Bourke, Grahame Dewes, David Hill and Jared Hoeata,
