NZ Warriors blitz Broncos, but lose Boyd to injury

The Warriors overcame the loss of Tanah Boyd to a suspected ACL rupture early on to defeat Brisbane 42-12.


Replacement Te Maire Martin starred in front of more than 50,000 fans as Andrew Webster's men ran in seven tries to two to secure a dominant victory.

The Warriors have notched up their fifth win in a row and their first win in Brisbane since 2018 and their eighth victory from 10 matches this season.


Dallin Watene-Zelezniak scored a diving try in each half while Erin Clark used his strength to scored in the first 40 mins. Wayde Egan also crossed as did Kurt Capewell taking the score to 22-0 at the break.


Ali Leiatua dotted down in the second spell as did Martin with Taine Tuaupiki converting five tries for the game


All of the Broncos points came from halfback Adam Reynolds with a two second half tries which he converted.


The Warriors are away to the Dragans next Saturday in round 12 of the NRL.
