Lawson points at Hungarian Grand Prix

Kiwi driver Liam Lawson is back in the points agains after an eighth-place finish at F1's Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring.
He started in 11th but quickly made an impact to finish ahead of teammate Arvid Lindblad using a two-stop strategy compared to the Brits one pitstop

Lindblad came 10th to give Racing Bulls double points for the race.
Lawson, 24 was pleased with the result after missing out in the previous race.
"Yeah, very happy," he said. "I was honestly, I just did a terrible job in quali and put ourselves in a bad position, especially when we had a very fast car. I knew it'd be good today."
The recovery came down to the opening exchanges. "I focused on the start and the first lap, and we were able to move forward and have a good race," he said.
"Heck of a battle with your teammate there at the end, and you managed to get a good haul of points," it was put to him. "Yeah, it's great," he said. "To have two cars in the points is really positive for us. Very, very happy."
Lando Norris driving a McLaren won his first Grand Prix of the year Red Bull's Max Verstappen followed by Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes).
Finishing in eighth has moved Lawson up a place in the drivers standings. The four points takes him to 43, one ahead of Alpine driver Pierre Gasly
The next F1 Grand Prix is in the Netherlands 21-23 August
