Wellington golfer Daniel Hillier's tied for 10th after two rounds of the DP World Tour Abu Dhabi Championship after rounds of 66 and 68.


His first round featured six birdies and no blemishes while his second round included seven birdies, but bogeys at the eighth, 15th and 17th holes.

Hillier, 27 is 10-under overall four shots behind the leaders Tommy Fleetwood and Aaron Rai both from England.


It was such a happy second round for Kazuma Kobori who carded a 64 in the first round but had a disasterous final hole in his second round.


Kobori, 24 found two fairway bunkers then three-putted as he triple-bogeyed the 18th.


The Cantanbiran dropped from a share of the lead to 24th equal at seven-under after his round of 73.
