Good, and not so good opening rounds for two New Zealand golfers in the United States on their respective tours.

Dame Lydia Ko has carded a five-under par 67 opening round at the latest LPGA tournament in New Jersey at Mountain Ridge Country.

LATEST HEADLINES:

Ko sits a stroke off the lead after her first round featured two bogeys, three birdies and an eagle three on the par five 13th hole.

Andrea Lee from the United States leads the tournament at six-under after carding a 66.

However Ryan Fox has struggled to two-over par through 16 holes at the latest PGA Tour stop in North Carolina.

When play was suspended, Fox sat three shots from the bottom of the leaderboard.

Matt MacCarty leads the tournament at eight-under.
