India join Black Sticks women's Summer of Hockey

India have been confirmed for a enlarged Summer of Hockey series in Dunedin giving the Black Sticks women even more challenging games.
There are five nations, six teams involved including the Black Sticks, USA, Japan, Korea, India, and NZA.

“Adding India - one of the world’s most passionate hockey nations - and creating space for our NZA side to go head-to-head with leading international teams is a huge win for the sport and for our community. It means more competition, more development, and more unforgettable moments for fans.”
What began as a four-day fixture has grown into a six-day international festival of hockey. The expanded schedule ensures greater playing opportunities for teams while giving spectators more chances to witness high-intensity international matchups.
For the NZA women's squad, the series offers a valuable platform to test themselves against top-tier nations, building depth and experience within New Zealand’s high-performance pathway.
The tournament will now run from Sunday 18 January to Sunday 25 January, culminating in a full final's lineup featuring playoffs for all six positions.
Each match day will showcase three international clashes, promising fans an action-packed week of entertainment at the highest level.
