The Tall Blacks will be missing at least one key player when the take on the Australian Boomers in the FIBA 2027 World Cup Qualifiers


Taine Murray joins the squad as injury cover for Shea Ili who has a left hamstring injury from practice with Melbourne United.


LATEST HEADLINES:


Murray, 23 is a guard currently playing for the Brisbane Bullets in the ANBL has already joined the the Judd Flavell coached squad.


It's understood Max Darling will miss the games as well with concussion. The Breakers' forward's been replaced by 17-year-old guard Jackson Ball, who debuted earlier this year.


In May this year the Tall Blacks lost two games in Australia but beat the Boomers in Hamilton.


The latest games will be playerd November 28 at MyState Bank Arena, Hobart followed a couple od days later, December 1 at TSB Arena, Wellington.


There are qualifying games next year gainst the Philippines in February and Guam in March and then again against the same opponents in July.
