Holland in for injured Vaa'i for All Blacks

All Blacks lock Tupou Vaa’i has been ruled out of the second Bledisloe Cup and final Rugby Championship match in Perth on Saturday night.


Vaa’i took a knock to his right knee at training on Thursday. He will have his injury assessed by a specialist on return to New Zealand next week.

Twenty-two-year-old Fabian Holland will take Vaa’i’s place in the starting side for Saturday with Patrick Tuipolotu providing cover off the bench.


Holland who stands at 2.04m was a key lineout jumper in the win over Australia at Eden Park and is seen as a huge prospect for the All Blacks.


The updated All Blacks team for Saturday’s Test match is:
