Kiwi golfers Garvey, Campbell in top-five

New Zealand golfer Amelia Garvey has struck form. She is sitting in a tie for third on the Ladies European Tour at the Women's Irish Open after two rounds.


Garvey had a blemish-free round with birdies on the first, eighth and 10th holes.

She sits at seven-under, along with three others, four shots behind the current leader, Lottie Wood from England. Garvey was third at the German Masters last week.


Momoka Kobori is in a share of 25th at one-under after rounds of one-over 74 and two-under 71, which included four birdies and two pars, while Wenyung Keh missed the cut by six shots at eight-under after rounds of one-under 72 and nine-over 82.



Kiwi LIV Golf star Ben Campbell is contending at the Asian Tour's International Series Morocco tournament, inside the top-five after the second round.


Campbell fired a bogey-free five-under 68 on day two on Friday (Saturday NZ Time) to climb to a tie for fifth at five-under, four strokes behind the 36-hole leader, Zimbabwean Scott Vincent, a former LIV Golf player.


Fellow New Zealander Denzel Ieremia is in a share of 27th at two-under after rounds of two-under 71 and even-par 73.



At the BMW International, near Munich, Kazuma Kobori is tied 26th at five-under after a much-improved five-under 67 to go with his opening round 72.


The 23-year-old from Canterbury bogeyed the first hole but then birdied five others in the first nine before one more birdie in the last nine holes.


Kobori is seven shots back from the leader, American Bryant Davis at 12-under.


Fellow New Zealander Daniel Hillier missed the cut by one stroke at two-under, after rounds of even-par 72 and two-under 70.
