Lydia Ko hasn't been able to defend her British Women's Open title after she suffered a disasterous final round at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club in Wales.


The world No 3 finished the tournament tied 36th after a final round 75 which was anything but consistent.


LATEST HEADLINES:


She started with a double bogey on the first, then a birdie on the second followed by two consecutive bogeys.


The next hole was a par followed again by two consecutive bogeys. She then had a steady patch of four pars before birdies on the 11th and 12th holes.


Once again Ko proved consistently inconsistent with a bogey on the 17th and birdie on 18th to finish the round at three over.


The title was won by Japan's by Miyu Yamashita at 11-under, two shots ahead of England's Charly Hull and Minami Katsu (Japan).
