Breakers beaten on over-time buzzer

A few seconds has cost the Breakers in their latest NBL game as they lost to league-leaders the Adelaide 36ers at Spark Arena in Auckland.
The 36ers won 112-110 with a buzzer-beater in over-time after the home team had stayed in the game and even led against the high-flying side from South Australia.

The Breakers wereee behind by 10 points with three minutes remaining in regulation before captain Parker Jackson-Cartwright inspired his side and sent the game into extra time after scores were locked 93-93.
Earlier the Breakers had kept in touch at each quarter and outscored their opponents 27-22 in the third to lead 71-70.
The Breakers were well placed for most of the overtime period, however they conceded a turnover when they failed to inbound the ball in time with just ten seconds remaining and leading by one.

Legendary NBL player Bryce Cotton then stepped up with a three-pointer with one second remaining to seal the win.
Tall Black Flynn Cameron was also instrumental in the 36ers victory with 17 poiints four rebonds a couple of assists and steals as well.
Karim Lopez, Parker Jackson-Cartwright and Izaiah Brockington all scored 21 points for the Breakers while Sam Mennenga had 20.
Mennenga also had 12 rebounds while Lopez pulled down 11.
The Breakers are seventh on the table with a 10 and 17 record and will have to do something remarkable to make the playoffs.
They play Melbourne United at home next Friday.
