India captain Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan smashed quick-fire 50's to secure a seven-wicket win over the Black Caps in the second Twenty20 International in Raipur.


Suryakumar hit an unbeaten 82 and Kishan made 76 from 32 balls as India chased down a target of 209 with 28 balls to spare for a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

Put into bat, New Zealand posting 208-6 with captain Mitchell Santner top-scoring unbeaten 47 from 27 balls including six fours and one six.


Rachin Ravindra made 44 as every batter reached double figures. However only Tim Seifert made the 20's with 24 from 13.


The Black Caps began quickly against India's attack before openers Devon Conway (19) and Tim Seifert fell in successive overs.


Ravindra smashed four sixes and two fours in his 26-ball blitz before falling to spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who also got rid of the dangerous Glenn Phillips (19).


Santner and Zak Foulkes, who made 15 not out, took New Zealand past the 200-mark.


India struggled in their chase losing Sanju Samson in the first over while fellow opener Abhishek Sharma fell for a first-ball duck in the next.


The two sides move to Guwahati for the third match on Sunday.
