Blaze take women's win, Brave men's game

The Northern Brave have fallen agonisingly short of pulling off a spectacular run chase against the Wellington Blaze in their T20 Super Smash at the Basin Reserve
The Blaze won by three runs with the Brave finishing 162-8 after chasing the target of 166.
LATEST HEADLINES:
Captain and White Fern Jess Kerr was top-scorer for the home side with 53 from 31 balls. she was backed up by 33 from Rebecca Burns and 31 by Xara Jetly.
Eve Wolland made 69 off 48 balls to steer the run-chase along with cameos from Jess Watkin and Kayley Knight.
Jetly also excelled with the ball taking 3-40 from her four overs.
The men's game was won by the Northern Brave by six wickets as they chased down the Firebirds 185-7 scoring 189-4.
Tom Blundell led the way again for Wellington with 73 from 41 balls and was backed up by Tim Robinson making 65.
Scott Kuggeleijn took 3-28 as the Brave's best bowler.
At bat Nothern had Katene Clarke make 54 and Brett Hampton 65 to open and effectively set the game up for the win.
