Day one of the tes against Ireland has ended in a positive way for New Zealand after a faltering start at Belfast as the home side put the visitors into bat
The Black Caps ended the day at 361-5 having been 86-4 in the first session.

However twin centuries from Rachin Ravindra and Tom Blundell putting on a 200-plus stand.
The first wicket was captaim Tom Latham out for a duck when the score was two before Devon Conway was out for four.
Kane Williamson worked his way to 36 and was dismissed when the scored was 85 before Daryl Mitchell added just one run.
But Ravindra and Blundell then took the score through to 303 when Ravindra was eventually out for 121. It was his fifth test century.
Blundell is 142 not out including 18 fours and two sixes with a capable 38 not out from Dean Foxcroft at the other end
Mark Adair is the best of the Irish bowlers with 3-66 from 20 overs.
