A convincing four wicket victory for the Black Caps over the West Indies in the third and final ODI at Hamilton with 117 balls to spare for a series clean sweep.


Choosing to bat first the West Indies struggled from the word go and made just 161 all out in the 37th over.


LATEST HEADLINES:


Only Roston Chase put on a decent score of 36 while opener John Campbell made 26 and down the order Khary Pierre scored 22. Fou others scored in the teens


Matt Henry was at his best taking 4-43 from 9.3 overs while Jacob Duffy and Mitch Santner snared two each and Zak Foulkes as well as Kyle Jamieson had one wicket each.


The total was never going to be enough to defend, although New Zealand struggled at times.


Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra went for 11 and 14 respectively before Will Young's torrid season continued and he was gone for three.


Mark Chapman then steadied the batting and took his time to make 64 hitting out late in the innings and taking the game away from the visitors with eight four sand two sixes.


Michael Bracewell made 40 not out from 31 balls to help take the side across the line to 162-6 in the 31st over.


The two sides meet again in the first of three test matches starting December 2nd in Christcurch.
