Black Caps controlled victory over Afghanistan

The Black Caps have scored a five wicket win over Afghanistan to open their T20 World Cup campaign with 13 balls to spare in Chennai.
Afghanistan scored 182-6 after choosing to bat with every batter reaching double figures. although only Gulbadin Naib went on to make a half century with a score of 63.
LATEST HEADLINES:
Lockie Ferguson was the best of the New Zealand bowlers with 2-40 from his four overs while Matt Henry, Jacob Duffy and Rachin Ravindra all took one wicket each.
At bat the Black Caps started badly with both Finn Allen gone for one and Ravindra no score to be 14-2.
Tim Seirfert and Glenn Phillips stopped the rot and turned the innings around.
The hard-hitting par made 74 runs from 47 balls with Phillips out first for 42 from 25 with seven fours and a six.
Seifert then went for 65 from 42 including seven fours and three sixes.
Mark Chapman contributed 28 from 17 while Daryl Mitchell was left not out for 25 and Mitchell Santner 17 not out to take the win.
New Zealand's next match is against UAE tomorrow.
