Alker triumphs on Champions Tour in Canada

A second victory of the year on the PGA Champions Tour for kiwi Steven Alker as took the title at the Rogers Charity Classic in Alberta, Canada in a playoff.
It was his 12th overall on the Tour and on this occasion he beat Y.E. Yang with a 7-foot birdie putt on the first hole of a playoff.

A day after matching the tournament record at Canyon Meadows Golf & Country Club with a 9-under 61, the 55-year-old Alker closed with a 5-under 65 to match Yang at 16-under 194. Yang shot a 63.
Alker, also won the Cologuard Classic in March in Tucson, Arizona, beating Padraig Harrington in a playoff on the first extra hole.
Jerry Kelly (63) and Zach Johnson (65) tied for third. Second-round leader Ryan Armour had a 69 to tie for fifth at 13 under.
