Two new players called into Football Ferns

A couple of injury-enforced changes to the Football Ferns ahead of a their matches against Mexico and the United States.
Head Coach Michael Mayne has called in Vancouver Rise's Rebecca Lake has as has Lara Wall for Phoenix teammate CJ Bott and also Grace Wisnewski who were ruled out with injury.
LATEST HEADLINES:
Lake, 26 is a former Phoenix player who hails from Christchurch and plays as a defender. She was also a New Zealand U17 and U19 representative.
She made 19 appearances for the Nix between 2023-25.
Wall, 25, is entering her second professional season with the Phoenix after a breakout 2024-25 Ninja A-League campaign.
She was one of just four players to feature in all 23 of the Nix’s A-League matches last season.
Wall was a second half substitute in the opening three games of the season before making the left back spot her own, starting the next 20.
She achieved all that while juggling her job as a structural engineer.
New Zealand will play two matches against Mexico, the first of which is in Mexico City on Friday (October 24) at 3pm NZT.
The second game between the two sides will be played in Juárez on Monday (October 27) 12pm NZT.
The Football Ferns will then travel to Missouri to take on the USA on Thursday 30 October at 1pm NZT at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City.
