There will be more Sunday games in next year's Super Rugby Pacific competition, with 80 regular season clashes due to take place over 17 rounds.

The Crusaders will open the competition at home against the Queensland Reds on 12 February, while the defending champion Hurricanes are in Auckland the next day to play the Blues.

The Highlanders open against Fijian Drua at a yet to be determined venue, while the Chiefs play the Force in Perth.

There are just ten teams in the competition in 2027 after Moana Pasifika folded after the 2026 season.

The schedule includes ten Sunday games - six more than last season - and a full competition round of five fixtures across the Easter weekend.

As previously announced, a Super Round returns to Christchurch in Round 8 on 2-4 April.

The Reds and Blues will meet in Brisbane on the eve of the inaugural Anzac Day Bledisloe Cup Test.

The top six teams at the end of the regular season will contest a revamped three-week Finals Series, with the top two progressing directly to the Semi-Finals and teams ranked third and fourth hosting sudden-death Elimination Finals.
