Former All Blacks loose forward Hoskins Sotutu has signed with English Premiership side Newcastle Red Bulls and will join the club after the conclusion of the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season.


Sotutu will still play for the Blues next year with pre season training already underway and the first game for the franchise at Eden Park, February 14 against the Chiefs.

He made his Super Rugby debut for the Blues in 2019 and has played 79 games for the franchise as well as 17 NPC for Auckland and 29 for Counties Manukau.


The 27-year-old has 14 appearances for the All Blacks and is also eligible England and Fiji.


He last played for the All Blacks under Ian Foster in 2022, his final test was a 25-25 draw against England at Twickenham.


He has not been selected since Scott Robertson became coach last year.
