Routliffe into doubles quarters US Open

The remarkable record of New Zealand's Erin Routliffe at the US Open continues as she takes her place in the 2026 doubles quarterfinals.
Routliffe and Indonesian parterner Adila Sutjiadi beat Anna Bondar from Hungary and Anhelina Kalnina from Ukraine i6-2, 4-6 6-2 in one hour 46 minutes on court five to take their place in the last eight.

The Kiwi and Indonesian combo won four of six break points, but had their serve broken just one from three occassions.
They also hit 39 winners compared to their opponents 29 and 16 unforced errors, one better than their rivals.
For 31-year-old Routliffe it's the fourth consecutive year she has made the quarters or better at the tournament.
She won in 2023, reached the quarters in 24 and won again last year, all with Canadian Gaby Dabrowski.
The ninth seeds will face the powerful unseeded American pair of Robin Montgomery and Ashlyn Krueger.
