Routliffe beaten US Open doubles quaters
New Zealand tennis player Erin Routliffe and Indonesian partner Aldila Sutjiadi have been beaten in the quarterfinals of the doubles at the US Open in New York.
Seeded ninth Routliffe and Sutjiadi were beaten by the unseeded American pair of Robin Montgomery and Ashlyn Krueger 7-6(5), 6-3 in one hour 40 minutes.

The New Zealand and Indonesian duo couldn't quite get their serve to work finishing with five double faults and a first serve percentage of 61, compared to 75 percent of their opponents.
Routliffe and Sutjiadi were broken on three times from three opportunities and struggled to take advantage of the eight break points they held, gaining success with one.
Rouliffe, 31 and previous partner Gaby Dabrowski won the title at the Open in 2023 and 25 and were quarterfinalists in 2024.
