From Whangarei and Davis Cup success to the clay courts of Buenos Aires the New Zealand pair of Finn Reynolds and James have earned their second ever tour-level victory.
They defeated the alternate pair of Peru's Conner Huertas del Pino and Gonzalo Bueno at the ATP 250 Argentina Open 6-7(4), 6-1, 10-4 in one hour 24 minutes.
Reynolds and Watt served six aces and one double fault on their way to victory and kept up an 80 percent first serve performance throughout the match.
In the quarterfinals they will face Brazilian third seeds, Orlando Luz and Rafael Matos who are ranked inside the top 50
Reynolds and Watt had their first win in an ATP Tour event at the ASB Classic in January and are currently inside the top 100 doubles rankings with the prospect of improving further depending on their finish in Argentina.
