Ravindra stars for Black Caps in win over Sri Lanka

New Zealand have beten Sri Lanka by 61 runs in the T20 Cricket World Cup Super Eight game at Colombo.
Batting first the Black Caps struggled to compile a total of 168-7 with Tim Seifert out for eight from nine balls followed by Finn Allen for 23 and Rachin Ravindra 32 from 22 balls.

Glenn Phillips made 18 and Daryl Mitchell three while Mark Chapman was out for a duck on a pitch where batting was difficult.
They went from 84-3 to 84-6 midway through their innings and were 32 balls without scoring a boundary,
Mitchell Santner top-scored with 47 from 26 including two fours and four sixes and was partnered by Cole McConchie with 31 not out from 23 balls.
The seventh wicket 84-run partnership between the pair was the highest for New Zealand and the highest at the T20 World Cup
The Black Caps bowlers then strangled the home sides batting effort keeping Sri Lanka to a total of 107-8 in their 20 overs.
Kamindu Mendis made 31 and Dunith Wellalage 29 runs, but no other batters made it past 11 runs as Ravindra took 4-27 from his four overs and took a catch to dismiss Wellalage.
Matt Henry was super economic with 2-3 from two overs while Phillips and Santner took a wicket each.
New Zealand are closer to the semifinals but still need a result against England - such as a win or a loss under 20 unders depending if Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 50 runs.
