New Zealand's Paul Coll has easily won his way into the quarterfinals of the British Squash Open in Birmingham.


Second seed Coll defeated Bri, Declan James 11-5, 11-5, 11-7 in 43 minutes to take his place in the last eight of the prestigious tournament.


'LATEST HEADLINES:


Coll face Aly Abou Eleinen from Egypt who is in his first quarterfinal at the Open.


Eleinen ousted fourth seed Joel Makin in straight games in his third round encounter and will therefore be a real test for Coll who won the tournament in 2021 and 2022.


Tournament top seed Mostafa Asal (Egypt) is also through to the quarterfinals without dropping a set. He'll play Victor Crouin of France in the last eight.
