Two from two for Otago over Central Districts in the latest round of Supe Smash cricket in Alexandra.


It was a second Super Smash win for the Otago Sparks as the Central Hinds posted 116-8 in Alexandra - with five players in doubles figures but only Rosemary Mair making it past 20 as she made 33 from 32 balls.

Louisa Kotkamp took 3-24 from her four overs for the Sparks and was backed up by Emma Black with 2-22.


At bat the Hinds made 117-3 to win by seven wickets as Felicity Roberson scored 23 plus Laura Harris blasted 24 from 16 blass including three fours and a six.


Caitlin Blakely was 32 not out and Polly Inglis 19 not out.


In the men's game the Volts scored 193-7 as Glenn Phillips made 90 from 48 balls with seven fours and four sixes.


Toby Findlay and Ajaz Patel took two wickets each for Central Districts but 32 from Jamal Todd and 26 added from Max Chu helped the southerners total.


In their turn to bat the Stags had several good innings as Will Young made a well-compiled 40 from 19 balls including three sixes plus 24 each from Dean Foxcroft and Dane Cleaver gave them hope.


However smart bowling from Luke Georgeson swung things back in Otago's favour taking 4-23 from four overs.


The Stags eventually finished at 152-8 for the Volts to win by 48 runs.
