NZ Warriors buckle under Sharks attack

The Warriors season has turned a little chaotic from 3-0 wins to 2-3 and looking decidely loose with structure on defence..
The Sharks won at home, proving too good for an at-times disjointed Warriors side, posting a 36-24 win, with Dallin Watene-Zelezniak scoring a hat-trick in a losing line-up.

Too often the Warriors were exposed on the flanks whether it was Roger Tuivasa-Shek struggling with the high ball and his hands or DWZ getting caught out by the overlap. The Sharks were strong and able to jump on the Warriors mistakes.
After falling to Wests Tigers last week, the Warriors started well as Watene-Zelezniak gave them the early lead, but Sharks fullback Will Kennedy scored twice within four minutes to turn the advantage, then centre KL Iro crossed to make things worse.
Watene-Zelezniak scored from an intercept just after halftime, as Cronulla led 24-10 at the break, and then again immediately afterwards to rekindle some hope of a comeback, but they not continue the rally.
Erin Clark gathered a consolation penalty try in the dying moments, after he was impeded in his chase for a loose ball behind the goal-line, but the Warriors lost centre Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad (HIA and five-eighth Luke Metcalf (hamstring) in quick succession near the end of the game.
The Warriors now face the Melbourne Storm, who are coming off three straight losses.
