The New Zealand A cricket side are in prime position for victory in the first unofficial test match against South Africa A in Potchefstroom.


After declaring their first innings at 607-7 they New Zealand side dismissed South Africa A for 236 as Northern Districts speedstar Matt Fisher too 6-43 from 13 overs.


LATEST HEADLINES:



Adithya Ashok took three wickets and Zak Foulkes one wicket to clean up the innings. Only the captain Marques Ackerman with 69 and Jordan Hermann (50) showed grit for the home side.


The New Zealand A side then batted again scoring 126-7 declared from 20 overs with Curtis Heaphy opening alonside Dale Phillips for scores of 36 and 17 respectively.


Joe Carter made one, Mitch Hay 19, Josh Clarkson 16, Foulkes 7, Ashok one while Simon Keene made 23 from 16 not out and Jayden Lennox five not out.


South Africa A are 106-1 in their second innings - Fisher taking the wicket. They need 392 runs to win going into day four of the game.
