Disturbances in the netball world as Netball NZ have confirmed they have stood down Dame Noeline Taurua as Silver Ferns coach for the upcoming Taini Jamison Series against South Africa.
The release stated that "Discussions are ongoing between Netball NZ, Dame Noeline and the Silver Ferns management team concerning proposed changes to the Silver Ferns High Performance programme and environment.

However, we have been unable to resolve issues to everyone’s satisfaction in the time available before the Taini Jamison Series.
In these circumstances, Netball NZ have decided to stand Dame Noeline down for the upcoming Taini Jamison Series."
Netball NZ Board Chair Matt Whineray says all parties remain hopeful of a resolution.
“We have a long relationship with Dame Noeline and her record with successive Silver Ferns teams speaks for itself. At this time, however, we need to focus on supporting players on the immediate challenge of playing South Africa.
As of today, we have appointed Yvette McCausland-Durie as Taini Jamison Series coach of the Silver Ferns, supported by Liana Leota as assistant coach.
We understand that there will be questions about this, but we can’t make any other comment right now, “ he said.
