Liam Lawson takes sixth at British Grand Prix

New Zealand driver Liam Lawson has survived Silverstone and the British Grand Prix to finish sixth with Racing Bulls teammate Arvid Lindlad just behind him.
Lawson's sixth placing is equal best this season along with the recent Mexico Grand Prix.

Lawson started the race in 10th and had immediate impact with an overtaking manouver early on.
"A really good first lap, here with the way the energy even on the first lap you can make up quite a few positions'" Lawson said at his press standup.
"The car was just really good and for us it really came alive so very happy."
Then Kimi Antonelli had wheel issues and Max Verstappen was ouf of the race due to a crash the New Zealander was able to move up to further places as the race wore on.
Earlier in the weekend Lawson gained a point for finishing eighth in the sprint race.
Lawson is still 10th on the drivers championship points however he is now on 39 points just three behind Pierre Gasly on 42. He's also gained one point more than his total for all of last season.
Ferrari's Charles LeClerc came home first ahead of Brits George Russell (Mercedes) Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) and Lando Norris (McLaren) with Red Bull driver Isack Hadjar fourth.
The next Formula One Grand Prix is at Belgium's Spa in two weeks.
