The Warriors then showcased why many expect them to content for the premiership with a dominant 32-10 victory over the Bulldogs in Hamilton.


The hosts led 10-0 at the break thanks to tries to Gayle Broughton and Emmanita Paki.

It was in the second spell they let loose with three tries in three sets to start the half before the Bulldogs had even had a chance to get their hands on the ball.


Centre Paki scored her second and wing Lavinia Tauhalaliku crossed for a double as the Warriors enjoyed success down a left edge run by star recruit Broughton.


There were also tries by Tysha Ikenasio Patricia Maliepo scored an extra try in the 55th minute.


The Bulldogs had tries to Alexis Tauaneai and Monica Tagoai in the last 20 minutes of the game to get the visitors some satisfaction


The side's bench also proved decisive, utility Jasmin Huriwai, Harata Butler and Laishon Albert-Jones all making a big impact.


However the Ron Griffiths coached side did have Mya Hill-Moana sin binned in the first half in a match which was a win, but not perfect as they play away to Canberra next Sunday.
