Kiwi tennis star Routliffe splits with Dabrowksi

New Zealand tennis pro Erin Routliffe and Canadian Gaby Dabrowski have officially split as a doubles team after a two and a half years together, where they won two Grand Slam titles..
They shared the news in an Instagram post, where they called the partnership as "a ride".

"We want to thank every person who has supported us through our journey on tour together. Through our stubbornness you encouraged us to keep an open mind. Through our tiredness you held space for rest and resets. Through our injuries you trusted us to come back stronger. Through our desire to be better, you helped us win Slams. We couldn't have achieved anything without all of you. We love you.
"Thank you, and goodnight."
As a team Routliffe and Dabrowski first got together prior to the US Open in 2023 which they went on to win.
At the Australian Open in 2024 they reached the semifinals followed by the final Wimbledon and quarters US Open 2024 as Dabrowski underwent treatment for breast cancer.
They then made the semis at the Australian Open 2025, the quarters at Wimbledon 2025 before winning again at the US Open 2025, a record of sevne Slams and all making the quarters or better.
During their partnership Dabrowski and Routliffe won seven titles, including two US Open trophies, the WTA Finals and the WTA 1000 event in Cincinnati in August.
Last year Routliffe won the Cincinnati Open with Asia Muhammad, who stepped in while Dabrowski was continuing her treatment for breast cancer.
She is likely to start a new partnership with best friend Muhammad, an American doubles specialist.
Routliffe who was born in Auckland but raised in Canada has a current WTA doubles ranking of eight.
