New Zealand sprinter Zoe Hobbs has finished second to American Sha'Carri Richardson at the Athlos Meet in London this morning.


Hobbs recorded a time of 11 point 19 behind Paris Olympic silver medalist Richardson who clocked 10.80 seconds.

"To come second in that race is pretty cool. I love taking part in Athlos it's my third year in a row," said 29-year-old Hobbs.


"I'm very tied i've been going since January so it's been a really long season. I peaked at the Commonwealth Games and I've been trying to hold on to it but the wheels are feeling off a little bit"


Hobbs, from Taranaki won the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in July, a first for a New Zealand female athlete
