Fox top-20, Fitzpatrick wins PGA Tour playoff

A top-20 finish for Kiwi Ryan Fox alongside drama at the top of the leaderboard of the PGA Tour event at the Harbour Town Golf Links course at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
Scottie Scheffler forced a late play-off with overnight leader Matt Fitzpatrick in front of a parochial American crowd after they finished regulation play at 18-under. .
They returned to the par-4 18th tee where Fitzpatrick produced a superb draw across the marsh to set up victory, a second for him at the event, on Sky Sport.
Fitzpatrick then lined up a 12-foot birdie putt for the win.
Fox finished tied for 16th after an even-par final round 71 had him at nine-under.
Fox birdied the seventh, but bogeyed the eighth. He was looking good at 10-under after a birdie on the 13th but dropped a shot on the 18th for the second consecutive round.
It's the best finish for Fox since the Genisis Invitational in February where he was tied sevent.
